Hello everybody,
for a small demo we are looking for the most easy connection between a PLC and a DOBOT. What is working is a direct logical connection between several digital I/Os of a PLC and the DOBOT EI/Os using a level shifter … Not directly elegant, but working. A separate box, RPi or a PC, we would not like to use here.
Much more we would like to see the DOBOT to have an Ethernet or RS232 module instead if WIFI and Bluetooth and supporting an industry standard protocol for at least a few I/O points or registers using e.g. ProfiNet or MODBUS/TCP. Then integration issues would become a simple task.
Were there some developments into this direction already?
How would be the feedback in the user community about this ?
