Can i use the 5v pin from the dobot magician I/O pins to power the arduino mega board? And do i power it on VIN pin or can i just connect to 5V pin on arduino straight?

Refer to pages 7 & 8 for information on the UART communication interface which can be used with external microcontrollers such as Arduino.
Below is an image showing the connection of the official Dobot Mega with a breakout board attached, and connected to the Magician which will use the UART 5v supply.
