I just got a new Dobot Magician Basic, and I’m using DobotStudio 1.5.1 with firmware 3.5.0, and I have a problem with the Z axis (specifically joint 2). When I press the either the Z- or Z+ button on the Operation panel, they both cause joint 2 to move upwards. Similarly, when I press J2- or J2+, both buttons cause joint 2 to move upwards.
As a result of this, the Dobot Magician cannot even undergo any of the proper calibration process since it always reaches the maximum Z axis height, and then starts jumping (causing rattling and grinding sound). I think my Dobot Magician is an older version and did not come with the calibration tool.
Does anyone know how this can be resolved?
