Is it possible to set limits on the working area of the joints?

I was wondering if its possible to put limits on the joints so the arm does not enter certain areas. I saw a similar post about an MG400 where it was said it gets done in the controller.

The reason for this is to limit the customer jogging to points and colliding with objects and also where the new path for obstacle avoidance is chosen. I did see the post warning users against using obstacle avoidance just yet as it is still in development
