We are trying to get the Dobot Magician to wait for a button to be pushed before running a program. We have DobotStudio in “Pro” mode. The first line of the code has a trigger set as EIO05_input = 1. We have an SPST push button switch connected to the 2nd (5V) and 4th pin (ADC/EIO05) in port 3 on the arm itself. We have a 5.6kOhm resistor in the line connected to the 4th pin. When we push the button, nothing happens.
We are reading 4.7 volts across pins 1 and 2 and 1.4 volts across pins 2 and 4 when the arm is at rest.
