Currently in our factory we are using their robots for simple applications but with many variants.
We have many projects that must be loaded by the worker depending on the model
Currently we have the robot by IO (to be able to have physical buttons for start, stop, etc.)
In the new version of the apk, through PLC you can select 10 projects via modbus and 15 via digital, but we have about 30 different projects
Would it be possible to add one more digital input to the project selection to be able to reach 31 (5 bits) and thus mount a selection screen in our applications? Or even a bit more 6 bits = 63 projects, enough for anyone
Or maybe increase the modbus capacity (I think the program selection occupies registers 3095~4095, so theoretically it could be more than 10)
Currently in our factory , the operator uses the project selection screen of the APK from the remote control tab, but it is very dangerous because if you touch where you shouldn’t, you can modify important parameters of the robot.
A third option could be a special mode under password in the APK that allows project selection with remote control ON ( IO or Modbus) without being able to modify anything else, in this way you save a PLC and the selection screen (as Universal Robots and other manufacturers do).
We are very happy with the robot , we think this would be a great improvement to make our applications even easier
